Hello and welcome to the Revit Architecture for Beginners course. My name is Guillermo Brandi, I am an Associate Architect at Pelli Clarke and Partners. With my over 15 years of experience working on large-scale projects, I'll teach you about Revit basic skills and all about the workflow in an architectural office.
You will produce drawings and tridimensional images of buildings based on the BIM methodology by the end of the course. You should also be immediately productive in a building design office contributing to the bottom line. This course will teach you to model buildings using the building information modeling software Revit Architecture 2020, 2021, and 2022. Learn to navigate the user interface and model architectural elements like walls, windows, doors, floors, curtain wall systems, and stairs. Create annotations and dimension drawings, and generate sections, details, and schedules.
You will also produce three-dimensional images and schematic renderings of buildings. This course teaches students the concepts of Building Information Modelling and introduces the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit Architecture. I will cover the basics of Revit Architecture and introduce participants to the concepts of Building Information Modelling and the tools for parametric building design and documentation.
I aimed this course at Architects, Engineers, Designers, students, and new Autodesk Revit Architecture users to learn essential elements of Autodesk Revit Architecture. Previous CAD experience is necessary.
I recommend a mid-range computer running Windows 10, Autodesk Revit Version 2020, 2021, or 2022 installed on your computer. You can download Autodesk Revit from the Autodesk official website and use the 30 days free trial, or ask Autodesk for a one-year Student Licence.
